Job Description
DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Sr. Sales Support Specialist within its Commercial Operations team, located primarily in the southwestern United States (Utah, Arizona, and Southern California). The Sales Support team is responsible for developing and deploying strategies in collaboration with Field Sales to enable sales growth objectives by ensuring appropriate resources are available and balanced throughout the US market. The team supports Field Sales Management in achieving optimal inventory turns efficiency utilizing advanced analytics. This role is the liaison between Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and Supply Chain relative to end-to-end efficient order/purchase order management. In support of efficient inventory turns management to support sales growth, this role is responsible for developing and providing advanced analytics and Insights to sales leadership. The role directly contributes to achieving sales objectives and has a high level of interaction with sales leadership at multiple levels. This role will support Projects through effective leadership.
Responsibilities
- Support a Field Sales Area for one or more Area Vice Presidents in the Trauma/CMF business platform: report on Sales Results, Inventory position, and Open Orders down to the customer and product level.
- Sales and inventory reporting is presented and or distributed to senior levels of the sales organization through live presentations and email on a scheduled basis or ad hoc.
- Liaison with Field Sales / Marketing on Open Orders Trauma and CMF operating companies
- Collaborate with Field Sales Management to continuously improve surgical case to invoice timeline.
- Support the adoption and transition of Pre-Op / Post-Op orders to TruView process.
- Develop and Deploy strategies in collaboration with Field Sales to enable sales growth objectives.
- Support Field Sales Management in achieving optimal inventory turns efficiency based on sales territory.
- Coordinate NPI launches and new Set Deployments to Field Sales
- Development and support of Field Sales Systems that drive efficiencies in the end-to-end Sales Process
- Support the returns process through hands-on sales support inventory gathering and processing.
- Performs various data mining activities and analyses for sales and inventory stakeholders.
- BA/BS required
- 3 years minimum business experience required.
- Successful experience with leading and coordination of projects across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Strong history utilizing advanced excel and Microsoft office applications.
- Ability to work independently required.
- Ability to effectively develop and present oral presentations.
- Domestic travel up to 25%.
Preferred
- Utilization of analytical tools such as Tableau, Qlic or Power BI a plus but not required.
- History of utilizing an ERP system i.e. SAP
- Exposure to data management for analysis preferred.
- Experience with inventory and sales analysis preferred.
- Experience in the Medical Device industry Preferred but not required.
- Background in operations, commercial operations, and inventory management a plus
- Experience in Field Sales Communications preferred.
