Key Responsibilities

Develop strong partnership and provide voice of customer to key internal partners in supply chain, marketing, finance and technical services

Understand and effectively communicate the company’s value prop, tech, process and current partnerships

Manages the Regional sales team members to the Rapid Micro Biosystems sales process to achieve expected results

Working closely with the Global Sales Leader to establish annual sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products

Responsible for the leadership, direction, control, planning and negotiating sales contracts.

Ability to influence people in their opinions, attitudes, or judgments about ideas or things; to motivate, convince and negotiate

Work closely with their direct reports to establish and achieve revenue and profit goals for the Region

Proven ability to develop future leaders and coach consistently strong financial achievement across a team

Demonstrated experience in managing and working with remote sales team members, as well as collaborating with global marketing teams and sales operations teams to drive organizational revenue.

Education & Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have a B.S./B.A. in business, life sciences or equivalent. MBA is strongly preferred

Previous experience and responsibility for sales and marketing in the capital equipment or laboratory diagnostic industry preferred

Proven success in delivering results in a high growth environment

Must have 8-10 years sales management experience including prior budget responsibility, building sales territories and coaching teams

Must have a proven track record managing a comparable business within the biotech, pharma and personal care industries

Proven ability to assess, attract, retain and develop personnel to meet performance expectations and fill future leadership roles

Must be results oriented and be able to lead the sales team to achieve regional sales and profit goals

Must possess strong people skills that will instill confidence in employees, management and customers
