SoluStaff is currently recruiting an Inside Sales Representative for our customer, a leading multi-national pharmaceutical company. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting our client's portfolio of rescue medicines and achieving company performance goals for product sales within the assigned territory, targeting healthcare professionals within institutional accounts. In this role, you will be executing various promotional strategies, including direct sales, lead generation, brand and disease-state awareness, clinical education, contracting pull-through, and ad-hoc customer touchpoints. You will also be responsible for maintaining a positive impression with customers and executing sales strategies in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
This is a hybrid position (3 days per week on site). Experience working as an outside sales rep for a mid-size biopharma company selling into hospital and acute care customers is highly valued along with experience in two or more of the following therapeutic areas: cardiology, stroke, surgery, anesthesia, and hematology.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of relevant products and disease areas, and engage in detailed discussions with medical professionals
- Manage accounts effectively through account planning, field resource coordination, supporting customer education and promotional needs, and timely reporting
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to learning new therapeutic areas, organizational change, and channels of business
- Leverage customer networks, resources, and tools via phone/web to expand connectivity, reach and interest across stakeholders
- Identify, prioritize, and drive opportunities to create access, policy, programs, and processes that drive product demand
- Engage targeted healthcare professionals in in-depth informational and promotional communications in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Profile and manage a targeted list of healthcare professionals and provide value-added benefits to grow product volume
- Meet or exceed pre-determined call productivity and quality performance metrics
- Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs and questions, thereby ensuring acceptance of or agreement with a "call plan" objective
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge, including competitive product knowledge
- Successfully complete product training and meet training expectations
- Create and maintain a positive impression with customers
- Execute sales strategies in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following relevant guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of outside pharmaceutical sales experience with a documented record of success
- Direct sales experience, including cold calling and customer service solutions
- Experience in account-based selling to organized customers such as hospital accounts and integrated delivery networks
- Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, including Federal Healthcare Program requirements and FDA promotional regulations
